Edit Factor Tables
Factor tables can be edited directly in the interface. This is optional—the GBM-generated factors are ready for export as-is.
Viewing Tables
Each factor table displays:
- Feature value ranges (continuous) or categories (categorical)
- Factor values
- Sample sizes per bin
- Chart visualization (for single-feature tables)
How to Edit
- Click any factor value in the table
- Type the new value
- Press Enter or click outside the cell
- Changes save automatically
Common Reasons to Edit
Apply business constraints:
- Maximum or minimum allowed factors
- Regulatory caps or floors
- Specific pricing rules
Smooth patterns:
- Remove noise in low-sample bins
- Enforce monotonicity (e.g., higher credit score = lower factor)
- Eliminate unexpected discontinuities
Note: Document your edits externally for audit purposes (reason, business rule, date, approver).
Reverting Changes
Click "Revert Changes" to restore the original model-generated factors. The system stores both the original and edited versions.
Using Charts for Validation
The chart view (for single-feature tables) helps spot:
- Patterns that don't align with business knowledge
- Effects of data sparsity
- Impact of your edits
